Programs at Time Out Youth - A Safe Space for LGBTQ+ Youth
Support Groups for LGBTQ+ Youth
Time Out Youth, an initiative by Greater Carolinas Women's Center, offers a diverse range of programs specifically designed to support and empower LGBTQ+ youth. Our support groups provide a safe space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and find support from others who understand their unique challenges.
Our LGBTQ+ support groups cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Coming Out and Identity: This group aims to help youth navigate the process of coming out, explore their identities, and build confidence in expressing their true selves.
- Mental Health and Wellness: We provide a supportive environment where youth can discuss mental health concerns, learn coping strategies, and connect with professional resources.
- Transgender and Non-Binary Support: This group focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by transgender and non-binary individuals, providing a space for discussions, education, and advocacy.
- Relationships and Dating: Our discussions in this group revolve around healthy relationships, consent, and addressing common issues faced by LGBTQ+ youth in dating scenarios.
- Community Building: This group aims to foster a sense of belonging, community, and friendship among LGBTQ+ youth, creating connections that extend beyond the support groups themselves.
Educational Workshops for Empowerment
